Step
1

Step 1

Peel back the protective film from the area you want to work on first. Do not remove the entire film. Rather, gradually peel it back as you progress on the design. Re-cover the adhesive area to save the surface from drying out or gathering dust.

Step
2

Step 2

Find the Grid Sign on the canvas you want to work on first. We recommend working from a bottom corner and working your way up.

Step
3

Step 3

Find the same Grid Sign on the Table (left and right side of the canvas) to find the corresponding DMC Colour Code.

Step
4

Step 4

Find the diamond package with the corresponding DMC Colour Code and pour the diamonds into the White Tray.

Step

Step 5

Take the Diamond Stylus Pen and press firmly into the Wax Caddy. Pick up enough so that the wax sits slightly above the pen’s surface.

Step 5a

The Stylus Pen has 3 head options:
A) 1 Diamond Head

Step 5b

B) 3 Diamond head

C) 6 Diamond head

Step 5d

To use the 3 or 6 head option, use the Black Tweezers to align the diamonds side by side (flat side down) within a single row on the White Tray. Pick up the diamonds using one of the head options above.

Step 6a

Place the diamond(s) onto the corresponding Grid Sign on the canvas. The adhesive on the canvas makes it easy to place the diamonds flat side down. Continue the process working one Colour Code at a time.

Step

Step 6b

It’s recommended that you start from the bottom edge of the canvas and work your way up. Although diamonds can be repositioned after sticking, this is not highly recommended.

Step

Step 7

Remember to continuously place the protective cover over the canvas when you’re not working to protect the canvas adhesive from gathering dust.

Other Tips:

  • Close the Wax Caddy when not in use to protect it from drying out.
  • Wrap the Stylus Pen in plastic or a zip lock bag if you have wax inserted to prevent it from drying out.
  • After every Diamond Painting session, use a book to gently press down on the area that was worked on to ensure the diamonds stay in place.
